The February 2013 statistics are in and it looks like the Anne Arundel County, MD real estate market continues its rebound.
Sales volume for the County was $110.4M compared to $107.5M for 2012. This equates to a 2.67% increase year over year. The average sold price of a listing increased to $340,861 in 2013 compared to $317,321 for 2012, increasing a full 7.42%. Median sold prices also increased by 6.61% year over year. The increase in YOY average sold prices were for both detached and attached homes.
The units sold for February 2013 decreased by 4.42%, totaling 15 less units sold in 2013 over 2012. All of the reduction was in detached homes.
The average days on the market shrank to 110, a -15.38% reduction from 2012, showing that the strength of the real estate market continues.
Overall, these are decent real estate statistics for Anne Arundel County, MD for February, 2013. The positive increases in key metrics came despite the low inventory levels throughout the County.
Of course, housing is still in a recovering mode and it will be interesting to see how the numbers hold up as we move further into 2013.
