iPhone inductive charging pad

iPhoneI could absolutely see myself in Myrl Jeffcoat's post the other day about keeping up with charging batteries for all of our electronic devices.

I admit to being a technology hog, and in my case, the amount of devices I have to charge is really getting out of hand.

  • 2 cellphones
  • Landline phone
  • Bluetooth headset
  • Netbook
  • Laptop
  • eBook Reader

etc....

The other day I was in the mall getting the battery (oops) changed in my watch and I was browsing through Brookstone while I waited. What you see in the picture is an iPhone case which has a built in inductive charger for the iPhone.

The pad is plugged in but the iPhone sits on top and automatically charges without attaching any wires. Still receives calls and emails while in the charger. At least for the iPhone, now I just drop it on the charging pad and I'm done. No fuss, no muss.

iPhone uncovers property details

Unless you've been living in a cave, you must know that a good portion of the East Coast got clobbered by two huge snow storms in the past week. Showing properties with over two feet of snow on the ground has certainly been a challenge.

Buyers, who have been cooped up in their houses/apartments are starting to have "cabin fever" and want to get back out looking. Yesterday I had the opportunity to show a nice waterfront property in the area.

It was a bank REO and needless to say the bank hadn't yet gotten around to doing any shoveling or plowing. We ended up tromping through a couple of feet of snow getting to the house. We had no idea whether there was even a walkway or driveway. No feel for what the property looks like when it's covered with that much snow.

Technology to the rescue. With the iPhone. if I have cell phone coverage I also have a fast data connection. Google maps for the iPhone pulled up the property address and one click over to the satellite view provided a fantastic view of the property.

It's amazing what technology can do to help real estate agents and their clients today.
