Looks like another beautiful Spring day. Thank you for sharing the picture.
What a gorgeous horse!
Looks like a great day to go horseback riding!
Beautiful horse...makes you wonder what it is thinking about the person snapping the photo!
He looks like he missed his chance for the run for the roses on Saturday
Have a great day
Bo
Gorgeous! And he has just the kind of 'long face' that I would love to see. I'm a horse person through and through. Most beautiful creatures!
Richard - he (or is it she) certainly looks a bit suspiciously at you!
Morning Rich...What a gorgeous animal, s/he looks rather young - love the mane...vidid colors, love the shot! Do you ride?
John, It was a beautiful day yesterday. Next couple of days so so.
Kat, I think they're one of the most magnificent animals.
Jared, For those who ride, it was.
Gary, Like my dogs, all he was thinking was "treat."
What a cute horse! When my duaghter was younger we would stop and take pictures of horses everywhere. She is still horse crazy!
Richard, nice looking horse. Is it yours? I wonder what he is thinking at the moment?
Bo, Not sure about that. Looks like he has a good life though just lounging in a field.
Carol, They really are beautiful animals.
Mike, You've seen my picture...
Gail, He was grazing in the field with a burro. Does look young but I can't tell. On the riding part...no reason to make them swaybacks :)
I have always had a soft spot for horses. My friends family had a ranch when I was growing up and my favorite thing was to herd the cattle.
I wonder if we could use his excuse for a long face when we have one, "It's genetic!" ??
Hi Rich:
Beautiful horse.
The long face it because he wants you to play!
Ride 'em cowboy!
A horse walks into a bar, and the bartender says "Hey buddy, why the long face?"
What a lovely horse. My grand daddy used to have a few on his cattle farm also. They are so majestic.
Great shot Rich - I can't remember so I'll ask - what camera do you use? ~Rita
Mark, Great way to grow up.
Judi, I was thinking the same thing.
Toula, We were on different sides of the fence.
Sally, I've heard that one, good one too.
Tammy, They are very majestic animals, and usually pretty friendly.
Rita, This was taken with my Rebel XT and a Sigma lens. My new camera is a Canon 50d. Serious camera but still amateur level. Can't find it in me to spend $5,000 for a professional level camera.
What a beautiful horse. He looks "mature" and like he looks as though he's got quite a few stories to tell.
GOOD MORNING RICH! THe horse looks like he is thinking, "Another photo shoot?" I like his eyes! Reference your camera - was this done with the auto feature or your skill? --Gab
Donna, Thanks for stopping by. I don't really know how to tell a horses age. I'm sure there's a joke there somewhere.
Gabrielle, I do use auto at times but here I set the depth of field and let the camera set the speed. I wanted more of the background in the shot.
Just one apple or carrot or maybe a sugar cube would cure the long face.
Wow what an adorable photograph thank you for sharing with us here at activerain.
