I find the bonsai tree extremely interesting and I enjoy looking at them. Don't have a green thumb so I don't think I will try to grow one.
Hi Rich:
BONSAI!!!
There's a lot of texture in that photo!
Great shot....
Richard - I never had a bonsai tree. I don't think I would have the patients to trim it where it would look good.
What a great and exquisite tree. I have never had any luck with them. But I really appreciate their beauty . Thanks for the photo
Very nice looking Bonsai. Thank you for sharing. Is this your work?
Hi Rich, I love bonsai trees! They are too cool!! I used to have one when I was younger, but I went on vacation for a week and my mom forgot to water it and it died...since then I've always wanted another one though.
Have a great day,
Anne Rains
Mark, I've always been fascinated with them but never able to do one on my own.
Toula, Thanks. The background does have a lot of texture, doesn't it?
Robert, This one isn't mine. I'm with you though on not having the time.
Charlie, I'm amazed at how beautiful they can be.
Tony, Courtesy of the National Arboretum in DC. They have a couple of Bonsai pavillions.
Anne, Now that you're in real estate there are no vacations :)
Richard, I love those, but like everyone else, don't think I have the green thumb to grow them. They are amazing! Great shot.
Morning Rich....gorgeous tree, how long have you been nurturing it? It certainly looks well cared for. I've had a couple in the past, but they didn't like me :( We were at the Brevard Zoo recently and they had carved out an area where the were displaying some very old Bonsai. I couldn't remember the exact age so I called and was told 40 years, but the hibiscus could be much older they said. I'll check further next time I go.
Rich - What is a banzai? Should I know what it means?
Love the photo and admiring the tree trunk.
Hi Richard, Good post. Thanks for sharing.
Best - Sash
Richard - I was very much into bonzai trees during the 1970s. I had a nice collection of about 20 trees. But alas, over the years I lost them, and didn't replace them in the process. This bonzai in your picture is very nice.
Richard,
Such beautiful little trees. Many people just love them. They also make great closing gifts for Condo's. I love the photo!
Judy
Great shot, Rich! Its almost like a fire ... I could look at it for a long time. The picture is quite thought provoking.
I love these little trees; Are they hard to tend for someone without a green thumb?
Richard,
Very nice Bonsai, did you make it? My brother used to do them and did a real nice job with them.
Well Banzai to you too :) Always loved the bonsai trees. However hasn't managed to keep one going... ~Rita
Rich, You captured fabulous lines and textures in this shot. Color contrasts also. I really like it. Aside from the photo, it's an awesome Bonzai!
