Have you ever done anything stupid? Fess up, of course you did...me too, plenty of times.

Last week I challenged Debi Boucher to a Butterfly picture contest. What the heck was I thinking. In my opinion, Debi is clearly the most talented photographer playing here in the Rain.

Here's my shot but I'm pretty darn sure I'm going to take my lumps when she posts her picture. I'll link to it here as soon as I can. I've been out but here is the link to Debi's butterfly shot.

Toula, Aren't you sweet. Thank you.

Gabe, Hump day. Than again, Realtors don't really have a beginning, middle or end to their week.

Gita, Butterfly shots are special.

Oh wow! He's GREAT! A very different viewpoint from my entry - You only get to see part of mine - here you've captured the whole butterfly, and he's gorgeous! A wonderful composition, and a beautiful bokeh! Great job! My entry is different, not as PRETTY! LOL

Richard - That is a great shot!  Come to think about it, I don't think I have ever captured a butterfly in a picture.  They and me, are not one, when I'm carrying a camera.

Good afternoon Richard,

I think I like your photo better than Debi's but, she sure likes to be up close and personal with her subjects.  :-))

Richard, you and Debi have both taken amazing photos of butterflies!  Thanks for sharing them.

But this is a beautiful composition, Richard! I am glad you challenged -- so we can see the array of talent!

That sure is a clear shot. I have taken as many as 10 at a setting or more to get one good macro shot of insects.

Posted by Trey Thurmond, College Station , Texas Homes (Brazosland Classic Realty) over 2 years ago

This is absolutely beautiful!  Now I'll see what the competition looks like....

That is such a clear and beautiful shot, I feel as though I could blow the yellow dust from his wings!  Beautiful, but I haven't checked Debi's yet....LOL, Honestly, the two of you are equally talented, so it might be a tie!

I already know who the winner of this challenge is...it's us the innocent bystanders who get to enjoy the beautiful photos of two very talented photographers!  What a gorgeous shot!
