I used to listen to a sportscaster years ago who always signed off his show with the same quote. This quote, and many similar derivations have been attributed to many authors over the years, but in all likelihood, the true author is still "Unknown."
Tomorrow is a promissory note.
Today is the only time we have, so spend it wisely."

Richard.....what a great quote....it's the first time I've heard that one....thanks
Thanks for the reminder. This is great way to start the week.
Thanks Richard. Great quote, so true...
Good thoughts to keep in mind everyday.
Nice Quote! I think the deepest of thinkers really GOT IT! There are other authors with strikingly similar quotes and I believe they all premise from the little book by Naploeon Hill.
Great post and thanks for sharing. A happy and prosperous New Year to you and your family.
Rich...

Gabe: You're right. It shouldn't be just for Monday.
Rick: I couldn't track it back far enough and there were plenty of sites who said the real author is probably unknown.
Don: And the same to you in 2010.
Richard: Thanks. Lets make it a great one too.
Toula: Thanks. Coming from you that means a lot.
Mike: Happy New Year to you also and have a great 2010.
