I hate to be the spoilsport but we all know those Christmas Trees don't last forever. Heck, most of them were cut down long before Christmas and by now they're pretty well drying out. Maybe another week left in them but that's about all.
What do you do to get rid of the once live Christmas Tree? If you're living in Anne Arundel County Maryland, its pretty easy to recycle. After you un-decorate the tree, all you need to do is to put it out with the other recycling. If its too big (over four feet) you should cut it in half so the recyclers can get it in the truck. Recycled Christmas Trees are made into mulch by the county.
While you're at it, a lot of other Christmas waste can be recycled as well. Wrapping paper, catalogues, cardboard boxes, etc.
For more information about recycling in Crofton and Anne Arundel County MD, you can visit the County website at www.aacounty.org/DPW/Wastemanagement or call the County office at 410-222-6100.

Rich...
Recycling is a great way to ceremoniously dispose of your Christmas tree. Happy new year my friend.
Richard: reclycling is not only pro green but it makes business sense. Thanks for sharing. Its a win win situation.
Rich, That is a great idea--recycling trees. Here in Manalapan NJ, we put out our tree for bulk pick-up. Happy New Year to you and yours.
GOOD MORNING RICH! Thanks for pointing out that wrap paper and magazines can be recycled as well! We already have several entrepreneur types driving around with their pick up trucks asking if they can haul away trees for a small fee! --Gab
