Wordless Wednesday - The Sun rises over Annapolis, MD

I thought I was going to be alone at 5:30 AM on Memorial Day, at the City Dock in Annapolis, MD. Not so. I was joined watching a beautiful sunrise by an exercise boot camp group, several couples looking to spark something early, and a couple of dog walkers. We were all greeted to this. On a clear day, I've never met a sunrise I didn't like.

PETER: A couple of ducks but no crabbers downtown.

Absolutely stunning photo Richard.  Whether the Woods, the water or cityscape, watching the sunrise spectacle never gets old.

Thanks for sharing the great picture. No many people will experience the Sun rises or Sun sets on the water.

That setting is so beautiful with the boats, and the sun coming over the water.  How could not like that beauty?

HI RICH!  Wow - Now I'd get up early to do boot camp for this view!

Rich, that shot gives me goosebumps.  I can almost smell the sea.  I have never seen a sunrise on the East Coast, but it looks almost as lovely as those sunsets on the West Coast. Thanks.

Rich,

There's something about a sailboat, in the water, and a beautiful sunrise that passes through you. This one does it for me! If 5:30 A.M. looks that good in Annapolis, I can't imagine how much better it gets as the day goes on. But there's something special about being one of the first ones to greet the day.

I love the photo. It pays to be an early riser.

I agree with you Rich. There is just something so amazing about watching the sunrise.  I'm a night owl so I don't get to enjoy it too often, though.

Rich, Just beautiful. A sunrise lights the way for the day to begin by showing itself!

Magnificent picture, Rich. I love early morning with it's wildlife and peace and quiet (mostly).

Thats a beautiful picture- The colors are great.  Thanks and have a good day.

Richard - I wouldn't mind having that scene as the wallpaper in my bedroom.  It is that tranquilizing and quieting!  We are currently under a tornado warning here in Sacramento.  Can you believe it!  We have had 8 or 9 this year. . .Very unusual for us.  Our sky looks nothing like the one in your picture right now!

I would imagine the waterfront would be full of onlookers with a view so glorious each morning...
