Crofton MD Market Statistics for November, 2013

Anybody who thinks that real estate statistics can only go up, is going to be in for a huge surprise at some point. Crofton, MD, has had a robust real estate market for most of 2013. November, however, has shown a significant reduction in sales. By clicking on the graph, you will see that the 18 homes sold in November, 2013 was actually 38% lower sales than November 2012. The blue line indicates sold homes, and the red line indicates Active Listings.



The reduction actually started in October 2013, and continued into November. While two months doesn’t always indicate a trend, this performance in the Crofton market may be causing sellers some concern.


It’s not all bad news though. Median prices are higher than November, 2012, and are currently $351,000. Days on the market are at 56 days, and reflect a 20% drop from November of 2012.


Certainly, let’s keep an eye on the sales moving forward, but generally speaking, Crofton real estate is still doing just fine.

It has seemed like a very quiet fall.  I have wondered if our area fully shook off the government shutdown making buyers more cautious until the new year.

I've seen some of the same, Richard.  Though, I do think that 2014 will continue to be better, although at a slower pace.

Rich, We saw a similar trend but, just don't really have any inventory to SELL so, we're confident that the spring market is going to be healthy again this year - and get some inventory for our buyers!  Hopefully you'll see the spring market rebound as it typically does for your area too.
