WHAT'S ON YOUR iPOD TOP TEN?

Here's where the square peg group can show it's stuff.  I need to update what I listen to in my spare time.  My iPod can hold over 20,000 songs but I really only listen to a small number when I get a chance.  Below, not in any particular order are the albums and songs that are on my A list.  What are your's?  If you don't have an iPod...how about your metaphorical iPod instead?

Rolling Stones: one of the greatest R&R bands ever.  I have no idea what's keeping them still going.

Bruce Springsteen:  I'm a former Jersey boy too.  Bruce is the boss.

Frank Zappa:  Definately for the eclectic listener.  I grew up in the 60s...enough said.

Eric Clapton:  Best guitarist ever.

Bob Dylan:  Uh oh...it's that 60s thing again.  Kind of weird...he looks better now than he did back then.

Buster Poindexter:  I just love his stuff.

Led Zepplin:  My favorite hard rock band.

Queen:  Unique sound and the second best song ever.

Jimmy Buffett:  Coolest guy still singing.  I wouldn't mind living a Jimmy Buffett lifestyle.

Joe Cocker:  Could have been one of the best.

Best Song:  Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven

Second Best Song:  Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

Best Doowop Song: Earth Angel - The Penguins

Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Charlie Bird Parker, Bill Evans, Bach, Gregorian Chants--go figure.

John,  I've got Brubeck and Davis on mine too but I never get to them.  Gregorian Chants are a bit heavy.

Mike,  Besides being a great band, Bono is a decent human being.  So many in that profession aren't.

Maria,  Eclectic...I like it.  I do have some classical music on there that I listen to when I need to concentrate.

Jacque,  You're the second one who mentioned Mama Mia.  I'll have to give it a listen.  I saw Fiddler on Broadway many, many years ago with Zero Mostel.

Richard...

The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Donovan, Elvis Costello, Queen, The B-52's, Billy Idol and the Talking Heads!

Richard,  We're not too far off except for the Beatles.  I OK with about 30% of their songs but the rest I can do without.  DJ's loved them because they would put on Hey Jude when they needed a bathroom break.  Dylan's songs had a real message.

WOW! Too many to list for sure... but my iPod selections range from pantera, metallica, dixie chicks, johnny cash, beastie boys, david allan coe to everyone in between! There is not much I don't like to listen to, given the situation!

Talk about the Rolling Stones. How about The Beatles. They broke up in 1970, yet in 2005 they were the fourth best selling group. They also just signed a deal with one of the major game makers to provide all the music for the games.

I'm tired of Stairway to Heaven. Rather, I like the Physical Graffiti album, Kashmir specifically. I do like anything by Led Zeppelin and Queen.

Don't like iPods, though. My husband and I have over 25,000 digital music files on five 1-terabyte external hard drives. We're currently in the process of cataloging everything since we ripped them from CDs and then sold the CDs. We now have much more space in our home office.

Jim,  Thats a lot of ripping to get 25K songs onto hard drives.  Drag and drop to an iPod would be a snap.  he Beatles have some fantastic music but I was never a gaga fan.
