Don't mean to snow on anybody's parade here, but we don't do snow all that well in Suburban Maryland. We're not like the hardy folks further North. Two or three inches of snow here is a huge de-motivator. Shuts things down with a vengeance. No showings for you today, Rich.
Get off the Rain and go back to bed. Maybe by the time you get back up the wife will have the driveway shoveled.

Hi Richard: How beautiful. Take a snow day. On my snow days, I build a big fire and take advantage of the extra time I have to work on all the projects that seem to get pushed aside. The old saying here in Wisconsin, it that if you do not like the weather, just wait a day. Enjoy your Monday Richard.....
Beautiful picture....enjoy your snow day. We'll be 80 Degrees here today. That's a bit of a de-motivator too....I'd like to be at the beach :)
Talk about March coming in like a lion - we're snowed under here in New York. Oh well, a good catch-up day!
Rich,
Looks like a Currier & Ives scene. That's some serious snow. Maybe it'll warm up in a couple of days and melt. :)
Steve
We've got the same here in CT, it may look like Currier & Ives, but I for one am pretty sick of living through it! I guess we have been spoiled around here by the last 2 or 3 winters of basically no snow. We had to pay the price sometime! I saw our lawn for the first time in months last week, now it is under a blanket of white again, along with the cars, driveway, street etc.
Hi Richard ~ But you get to take such beautiful pictures! And it will melt soon too at least in your neck of the woods. You would think snow would be a non-event in New England but this morning the local networks pre-empted the national morning shows in their entirety - and subjected us instead to endlessly repeated scenes of reporters measuring snowfall and showing the same car stuck in a snowbank over and over. Get on with it - I need my Matt Lauer fix!
Liz
Richard, I've been staring at my snowy sidewalk and thinking how it might be nice to have a husband to shovel it! And I love your photo!
Two or three inches of snow shuts you down. Here that is a dusting and a minor inconvenience.
I"m taking a snow day! I cannot believe our kids are still in school.
Beautiful photo, no doubt taken through your front window or at your front door. I know because I did one of those myself this morning. LOL.
Richard - Looks like Christmas time. march is the snowiest month around here but at least today it's going to be in the 60's. ~Rita
All we have to do is have a forecast of flurries and EVERYTHING shuts down. Oh, and good luck waiting for your wife to shovel the driveway. I'm sure she's lying in bed thinking the same thing about you!
Hi Richard
Your photo is a hallmark moment, stay warm today.
Good luck and success
Lou Ludwig
Gwenn, We don't get all that much snow here so whenever it happens, its a big event.
Karen, 80 degrees...I can live with that.
Gaye, New Yorkers can handle it better.
Steve, I should have asked the neighbor to shut his garage door and I could have moved the recycle bin by the street.
Paul, This is really our first of the year here. It does get old pretty quick though.
Liz, I noticed that today too. All the national shows were pre-empted by the piddling amount of snow we had down here.
Patricia, You better get out there...I'm sure the city is going to make a bundle today fining residents who don't shovel.
Tony, Even Pres. Obama couldn't believe tht they close schools for an inch or two of snow.
Erica, I love it, a Realtor taking a snow day.
Margaret, Overlooking scenic Crofton Parkway. Least I could have done though is to move the recycle bin out of the picture.
Rita, In Denver I'm guessing 60s during the day and teens at night.
Jim/Maria, The further South you go the more traumatic a snowstorm becomes for a lot of people.
Lou, I'm trying. My gas and electric company's rates have skyrocketed this year. Time for another sweatshirt.
Stacey-Ann, I'm not getting out of bed until she does. I have a sneaky feeling that nature is going to have to take its course before she does. Now that I think about it, I'm not so sure handing her a shovel is such a good idea. Rich
Hi RICHARD! Are you still in bed? That's something for a front yard view! The recycle bin I mean! Just kidding -- but from a desert dweller point of view - it looks refreshing enough to jump into! -- Gab
Hey Rich! So, did she? Or was that just a dream? LOL
Debi
Rich...
Ah, but it's so beautiful and quiet ... it is nice every once in a while, isn't it?
Gabrielle, Still in bed and they never picked up the recycle today.
Debi, I lost...again.
Richard, Right at daylight, before it gets all messed up, there is something very surreal about the snow. I can take it every once in a while.
This is a lovely photo Richard. We had a snow yesterday too and while I wish I was busy working, I enjoyed the day with Max.
A frame worthy photo for sure! I lived in Maryland and I know the snow does not last long. Spring is on the way!
