THE STONES HAD IT WRONG, TIME IS NOT ON MY SIDE

Richard Iarossi - Crofton MD Real EstateAfter going through the change to Daylight Savings Time yesterday I realized that I need to cut back in one area of my life. I have too many dam clocks.

Even with the ones connected to the internet changing automatically, there are still way too many to change.

Clock on the stove, microwave, radio, wall, and that's just the kitchen. My office, family room, two in the bedroom, another in my office, two wristwatches. I just realized, my wife has a clock in the bathroom, and its always 15 minutes fast. What's up with that?

Where did I develop this obsession with time. Not enough, too much, who knows. Every digital clock in the house has a slightly different time. If somebody comes up with a way to sync all the clocks in my house with one switch, I'll buy it.

What the heck were the Stones thinking when they sang, "Time is on my side."

Not really...I just realized that I forgot the clock in my car radio, ugh!

Alright BG&E, I'm done. All the clocks are changed. Now, if the power fails, I'm coming after you.

Interesting.  I don't own a clock, or a watch.  There is a closk in my vehicle which I changed yesterday a.m.  I have a clock on my computer, which normally changes automatically and didn't this time.  Apparently the gentleman who built this computer didn't include that feature.  I almost missed one of my favorite talking heads yesterday morning.  Fixed.

I saw a school bus go by a 7:15 a.m. this morning.  My thought was "good grief, it's really only 6:15 a.m. and those children had to get up and get dressed in time to get the bus.  That's rough on children.  I wonder if the folks who mess with our time ever think of the children?

There goes another bus.

Richard, I feel your pain! Clocks are attached to everything these days!

As for the 15 minutes fast clock in the bathroom, she is trying to be on time for something!!

I'm thinking of moving to Phoenix so I won't have this problem twice a year!

MORNIG RICHARD!  Keith Richards tends to look a though he lives by those words.  I only experience this when the electricty goes out at my house - lucky to be on Arizona time -- all the time.  -- Gab

I dread the changing in my car, never got the owners manual and every 6months its which way is that?  I usually end up with military time for a week or two then manage to get it fixed.  :)  Overall I love the longer days.. yeah its summer.  :)

Richard - my watch battery ran out in 1986, I have yet to replace it. If I need to know the time, I have a cell phone. But, I admit, I do set the clocks on my appliances, and on my VCR. The clock in my truck will be right in November, so why should I dig out the manual to figure out how to change it now.

After all, it was Pink, or maybe Floyd who said

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way

After all, with or without a watch, I am here, shorter of breath, another day closer to death. I don't need another reminder.

Rich...

Thank goodness these cell phones adjust themselves for the change because I can never figure that stuff out!

Hi Richard - I love the clocks (cable and computer) that change automatically; nothing to worry about there.  I do, however, take on the task of resetting all those primitive time devices I have around the house.  lol

Rich, I changed the one in the car, so far that's all. Thank goodness the cell phone and computer update themselves!

Richard, I'm with you. I didn't realize how many clocks we have until I had to change every one of them. Have a good week.

Hi Richard

Changing the clocks at home in the car and my watches take forever, I also have to many clocks to change.

Good luck and success.

Richard...I agree, everytime I turn around there is another clock my wife didn't change, and most are 10 to 15 min fast.!

Another great post!  I'm usually still discovering a missed clock or watch for several days after the time change.  LOL.

Funny Rich! I decided a long time ago that I didn't them all, and didn't need them all to be right! I don't even bother with the microwave anymore, I have enough to look at that ARE right!
