Very nice Richard - May I be the first to "represent"!
My BEST
Richard, that's pretty cool. Is that near you in Maryland? Thanks and have a great day.
Connor, Thanks, make it a great day.
Kevin, The statue was taken out of Washington, DC and moved to Ft. Washington, Maryland. It anchors a new development at the National Harbor. Very bizzare statue.
Richard,
Wow!! I agree this is a very bizarre statue! Thanks for sharing..it is interesting to see.
Very odd indeed. Thanks for sharing.
Dorie, I couldn't get the whole thing in even with a wide angle. You can't see the foot on the left.
Mel, You can't really see the perspective but this thing is huge.
Now that is Bizzare! I take it it is a swimmer?
your friend for Charlottesville Real Estate!
Yikes, that's kind of creepy looking.
Richard, this sculpture is quite a site. I've seen it several times when it was located in the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC. Thanks.
Awakening?
This sure woke me up!!!
Have a great day.
Interesting! I'll have to think about that one!
I actually really love this statue. I've seen it several times when it was in DC but I haven't seen it in its new location in Fort Washington. I'll have to check it out.
Richard - didn't we see something like this in a Michael Jackson video, or a George Romero movie?
I actually live in the area..and have been to this sculpture it so very cool.......and also very ominous:)
Wow thats a pretty bizarre statue, I like it though! Thanks for sharing!!!!
Wow what a statement. it makes you think and wonder what the artist was thinking. Oh well I quess as long as we are all thinking
Shelton
Whoa. That's pretty cool. Thanks for the pic.
Charles, I don't really know but it is buried in front of the water.
Susan, You should see it in person.
Michael, It was in DC first but than moved to Ft. Washington, MD.
Toula, Thanks. I wonder why the artist named it "The Awakening."
Bruce/Mary, It's pretty vivid when you're standing in front of it.
Stacey-Ann, It's always good for a visit on a nice day.
Mike, I'd vote for a George Romero movie.
Konnie, It is pretty weird to walk around it. It's hard to tell from the photo but it's pretty big.
Kayla, Art strikes everyone differently. It is different though.
Shelton, I've never seen anything quite like it, but than again, I'm not artistic.
Tom, Thanks. I got a bunch of pretty cool pics that day.
Richard, Thanks fo posting more of this guy! Extremely interesting. I'd love to see it myself someday!
Debi
